Pandas For A Robot Cat

Right after being taken in by the General, C108 could tell very clearly what his… Obsession was.

Pretty much every corner of the apartment had something panda-related in it. It didn't know whether to find it cute or a bit concerning.

Within the first week of being there, the General had one day come back with many shopping bags, some with a pet store logo on them.

The General noticed C108 looking at him as he walked in, and he smiled. "I brought you some stuff."

Curious, C108 walked up to him as he pulled things out of the pet store bags.

He pulled out a cat bed and a pet bowl. The bed was shaped like a panda, and the bowl had pandas drawn around it.

C108 rolled its eyes, then faced the General with a deadpan expression. "You know I don't need these, right?"

The smile disappeared from the General's face. "Oh… Guess I'll have to return it tomorrow, then…" He looked down at the pet bowl gloomily. "But it's so cute…"

"Why don't you get cute panda things for yourself, then?"

"Well…" The General picked the other two bags he was carrying, these seeming to be from a nearby supermarket.

From one, he pulled a thick and fluffy blanket with many little pandas on it. From the other, he pulled a set of plates and bowls also with pandas drawn on it.

"I thought it would be cute if we matched."

C108 had to hold back a laugh. The General was probably just using that as an excuse to get more panda stuff even if he didn't need it.

But it was amusing, in a way.

The pet bowl didn't have much use, but maybe it wouldn't be so bad to actually rest on that panda-shaped bed…
