"Hiiro, stop moving so much!" Aira groaned, putting the nail polish aside and grabbing the acetone bottle to undo the mess.
"S-sorry!" Hiiro said, stiffening his body as much as he could so Aira could get the streaks of blue nail polish off his finger.
Aira sighed. He hadn't thought that it would have been that hard to get Hiiro to stay still for a few minutes. Specially when it had been Hiiro himself who asked to get his nails painted by him.
At least, he was almost done with getting a first coat on all his fingers, and the first hand he had done was somehow still in good state. He just had to pray Hiiro would actually start moving less.
"I didn't think it would be this hard..." Hiiro said.
"It's not hard if you stay still." Aira sighed again, finally finishing Hiiro's left pinky. The last finger he had to do the first coat on. He grabbed Hiiro's right hand, seeing if it was dry enough for a second round yet. "Where did this idea even come from?"
"You painted your nails a while ago. I thought you looked nice with them, so I wanted to try it too."
"Huh?" This time, Aira was the one who moved too much, his elbow almost knocking the nail polish off the table. His cheeks burned.
Hiiro raised an eyebrow. "Did I say something weird?"
"N-no! Sorry. Just... Forget about it!" Aira avoided looking at Hiiro's face, specially his eyes, as much as he could. He couldn't tell him that his heart had skipped a beat at something as simple as Hiiro just saying he looked nice.
Such a simple compliment, and yet... It did make him quite happy.
"Anyway. I'm starting round two. You better stay still this time."
