Interests
A simple list of of things I like, and thus stuff you can expect to see in different corners of this site!
- Anime & Manga - I mainly like Magical Girls (and Magical Boys!) series, and other shoujo and josei stuff and fujobait titles. I do like some shounen stuff as well, but in recent years most of the current shounens either didn't catch my interest to begin with or I eventually got too bored of them after a certain point, so most of the shounens I like aren't very recent. If you are curious, I have a list of anime I recommend here and a list of SFW manga I recommend here. (I do plan on making these reclists into an actual page on this site later, but currently they are only on MAL.)
- Video games - I mostly play turn-based RPGs, Visual Novels and gacha mobage. Overall I am not great at Action or Fighting games so I don't play many of them, but there are a few of them I've enjoyed over the years! One genre I've never had interest in though is Shooters... I also like watching people play horror games, even if the few times I've tried to play those myself I wasn't all that successful ^^' (To be added: a page with games I like and/or recommend, beyond what games I have written fic for.)
- Tokusatsu - I am mainly a Kamen Rider fan, but I have watched a few Super Sentai seasons and wanna get into Ultraman eventually! My number one favorite Kamen Rider season is Zi-O, closely followed by OOO.
- Vtubers - I actually saw the beginnings of Kizuna Ai sort of "from the corner of my eye" back in the day! I got a little more into them in 2020 when I first ran into Korone from Hololive, which lead me to finding out about Holostars! That initial phase didn't last much because I don't know all that much Japanese to understand what is going on beyond broad strokes + "weeeeeee anime boy playing games go brrrrr". What got me REALLY into Vtubers more properly was after Luxiem from NijiEN debuted. Now in days, I mainly like Holostars EN (Kamioshi: Hakka), FSP EN, some indies (mainly ex-agency people) and, despite the whole Selen mess, I still like some people from NijiEN a lot (Kamioshi: Fulgur). I don't actually talk much about Vtubers on my social media accounts and don't plan on having much of anything related to them here, but I thought it'd be fun to mention it due to the few times I DO bring it up!
